This Year's Project: Building our Endowment

About Our Organization

Crossroads of Western Iowa is a non-profit organization devoted to supporting adults in our community who, for various reasons, are unable to live completely on their own. Most have some sort of intellectual or physical disability, or are dealing with serious mental illness.

For over 40 years, our goal has been to teach our clients life skills and help attain independence. We provide residential options, programming and employment opportunities, so they can reach their full potential at home, at work and in their communities.

Our Mission is to empower individuals to actively seek out opportunities for an enhanced quality of life. We are devoted to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, chronic mental illness and brain injuries to reach their full potential at home, at work and in their communities.

Current Project: Building our Endowment

95% of funding for Crossroads of Western Iowa comes from Medicaid dollars. We would like to reduce our dependence on Medicaid funding by increasing our endowment to ensure our long-term sustainability.
