This Year's Project: Transportation Shortfall

Foster Grandparents of Greater Siouxland Foster Grandparents change the lives of the children they serve and their own lives as well, while making a difference in their communities. Children receive much needed love, care, and assistance through one-on-one attention. Foster Grandparents remain active and engaged, knowing they are needed in their community. Senior Companions of Greater Siouxland Senior Companions make a difference in the lives of the adults they serve and their own lives as well, while making a difference in their communities. Adults served receive much needed love, care, and assistance through one-on-one attention from a Senior Companion Volunteer that they can not get from anyone else.

Current Project: Transportation Shortfall

We have a large shortfall of funds to cover transportation, especially within the Senior Companion Program. We need funds to reimburse the volunteers that go out every day and try to help people, all locally. We live in a rural part of the country and our volunteers have to put in more miles than expected to get clients to their Doctor appointments or just help with supplying groceries to the people they serve.
