This Year's Project: Holy Spirit passenger Bus
About Our Organization
Holy Spirit Retirement Home is Siouxland’s only faith-based, non-profit retirement community. At Holy Spirit Retirement Home, we are committed to providing care that’s not only good, it’s exceptional! Holy Spirit offers a unique continuum of care approach including independent living apartments, assisted living options and skilled nursing care. Because each resident’s needs are unique, our services are focused on helping every resident meet their individual health goals. Over 140 Siouxland area seniors call Holy Spirit Home.
This year Holy Spirit Retirement Retirement Home's goal is to raise $20,000.00 to go towards the purchase of a passenger Bus. These past six months have been particularly trying for our residents and their families affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. We wish to raise this amount to be able to continue to take our residents to all of their many doctor, dental, visual, hearing, visits that they have each and every day. Our mission is to provide each and every resident with the best of care along with keeping our residents healthy & happy!
Each of us at Holy Spirit Retirement Home would be so very grateful for your donation in order to make this project happen. Never has there ever been a larger financial need for Long- Term care facilities than now. Please keep our residents, families and our dedicated staff in your prayers so that we can continue providing our elderly with the best possible quality of life experiences as we move forward through this pandemic. God bless, Deb Poss
Current Project: Holy Spirit passenger Bus
This year our project is to raise $20,000.00 for a passenger Bus for taking our residents at Holy Spirit Retirement Home to their many doctor, dental, vision, & other crucial medical visits. The van we currently have is old and in need of some repair. We have been working diligently this year to continue to keep our elderly residents safe and healthy while also providing the best of quality care.
These medical visits are so detrimental to the quality of our residents lives; many of whom rely on us to take care of them each and every day. With these on-going challenges especially during the Covid-19 pandemic--- there is never a better time of need!
A six passenger van will continiue our journey of being able to provide the best of care to our residents; while keeping them healthy and happy!
This year, we will be focusing on projects that will positively impact all of the lives of our residents. These projects include: - improving the common spaces in our 24 independent apartments by replacing carpet, updating decor, etc. - improving our second floor outdoor garden that is used by over 100 residents by replacing the outdoor flooring - providing exceptional care for our residents by giving them warm blankets from purchased blanket warmers
