About Our Organization
Siouxland Civic Dance Association is a local youth ballet company that was founded over 50 years ago. Our mission is to provide additional ballet training and performance experience to area dancers. To expand the range, quality, and quantity of concert dance avialable to Sioux City audiences by brining in professiona artisits and companies for sponsored shows at an affordable price. Lastly we hope to provide arts education to area schools and organizations through outreach performances and donated tickets.
We are so excited to be bringing this holiday classic back to the Siouxland area! We are raising funds to help support our 2023 of the Siouxland Community Nutcracker with the Siouxland Civic Dance Associaiton. Our funds for this seasons production are to help in buying new costumes for the dancers in the show and supporting our educational outreach program! Our goal as the Siouxland Civic Dance Associaiton is to bring cultural experiences to the Siouxland area at an affordable cost to all involved! We pride ourselves in creating no additional costs to dancers when they audition to participate in our shows and a low ticket price for all of the community to attend. Additional support from our community helps to keep these goals alive! We hope that you will consider donating and supporting this season's Nutcracker prodution!
This season Siouxland Civic Dance is looking to produce a collaboration production alongside a professional Midwestern ballet company, American Midwest Ballet. With this collaboration we would be able to provide what may be a once in a lifetime opportunity for our area dancers to be able to perform alongside professional company members. We hope this project would help to continue expanding the amount of professional art work being brought to the SIoux City Community at an affordable price! We are looking to add community benefit through an educational outreach performance as well. This performance would be a condensed version of the show - offered to area schools and students at no cost.
We at Siouxland Civic Dance want to continue to add to the Sioux City arts community through opportunity not only for our areas young artistis, but the community as a whole! We hope that you will consider giving to this year's production!
