This Year's Project: Classroom/Teacher Innovation Grants - Education Enhancement Fund
About Our Organization
The Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community School district serves around 1,700 students each year, and has frequently been ranked among the top high schools in Iowa by U.S. News. Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School was also named a 2018 National Blue Ribbon High School.
The Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community School Foundation serves as an extension of the school district's tradition of excellence, providing scholarship and grant funds to support the students and teachers of the district.
Individuals who wish to support the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community School district may do so through scholarships, grants, memorials, and endowment contributions to the Foundation. Your gift will go directly to support students and teachers in the district and will help keep the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community School district one of the best in Iowa.

The SB-L Foundation has been offered a $1,000 matching gift from the Clark, Edlund, Lonneman, and Newman families for all pre-giving gifts made before Oct. 3. Additionally, Pioneer Auto is offering a $1,000 matching grant during Big Give on Oct. 4. Please help the SB-L Community School Foundation secure these gifts by helping us raise the full matching amount, which will result in $4,000 to support teacher grants and student scholarships!
Each year, the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community School Foundation awards grants through the Education Enhancement Fund to provide financial resources to teachers that are typically not available through traditional school or district sources. The purpose of this program is to assist teachers by providing funds for innovative classroom projects that improve student learning and make a positive, long-term impact in the classroom. All pre-K to 12th grade teachers and instructional staff in the Sergeant Bluff-Luton district are eligible to apply, and applications must approved by the school principal. These grants are limited to one grant per teacher per year. The maximum grant amount is $500 for an individual, or $1,500 for a team project. Grants can include funding for equipment, materials, and activities.
During Siouxland Big Give, the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community School Foundation hopes to raise $6,000 to continue the work of the Educational Enhancement Fund.
Please support students and teachers in the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community School district with your gift to the SB-L Community School Foundation's Educational Enhancement Fund.
