This Year's Project: Spay Neuter drive

The Friends Of The Animal Shelter (FOTAS) was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) organization on June 1st 2015. Being a registered charity, this enables us to raise funding for the numerous animals that are held in local shelters. We work closely with Sioux City Animal Adoption & Rescue Center and our "goal" is to obtain any necessary medical attention that may be required, in addition to spaying and neutering as many pets as possible, prior to adoption - this is all done WITHOUT increasing the adoption fee for that particular animal, because these additional expenses could be prohibitive to a new pet owner. We work with both Cats & Dogs - but the focus is mainly on Cats as they are often abundant and we like to focus on getting them fixed and in to new, loving homes as soon as possible.

Current Project: Spay Neuter drive

We would like to earn money to spay and neuter pets in local shelters before they are adopted. This would make them more desirable to be adopted and help alleviate some of the extra fees that would be incurred by the new adopted family.
