Girls Inc. is building the new generation of strong, smart, and bold leaders.
Since 1986, Girls Inc. of Sioux City has been developing future leaders by supporting, mentoring and guiding girls in an affirming, pro-girl, girls-only environment. Girls learn to value themselves, discover and develop their inherent strengths, and learn skills they need to navigate the challenges they face.
A national study revealed that Girls Inc. girls are less likely to engage in risky behavior, are eager to learn, successful in school, and more likely to graduate from post-secondary education. Girls Inc. girls display diligence, perseverance and resilience.

Current Project: Toolbox - Farm To Table
Your gift will help fund the next Toolbox: a farm-to-table culinary program for girls.
We'll empower young women to explore agricultural industry careers, the joys of cooking and business ownership, and healthy living. Donations will help us provide essential resources including hands-on cooking classes, business basics and fresh, local ingredients. The goal is to foster career awareness, culinary skills and confidence.
You will join us in playing a vital role in shaping the future of these aspiring leaders, allowing them to learn about Siouxland's role in global agricultural, careers, nutrition, technology and the art of cooking. Together, in the bread basket of the world, we can cultivate a community that values healthy living and supports the next generation of female leaders in the culinary world.

Operation SMART
Project Details
Designed specifically for girls, Operation SMART (Science, Math, and Relevant Technology) provides inspiring, hands-on experiences with math, science and technology. It builds girls’ skills with activities that give them the opportunity to explore, ask questions and solve problems through projects, games and expermentation. Your gift will help us inspire future inventors, scientists, STEM teachers, and the hundreds of girls in our science programs!
Toolbox
Project Details
The world needs more skilled tradeswomen! Toolbox is a 4-week skilled trades camp for girls ages 8 to 14, launching in the summer of 2022. For most girls, the camp will be their first in-depth experience with tools, safety protocols, tours of local industries, and role models who are females in skilled trades. Tools, equipment, and supplies are needed to create a workshop where girls will gain the skills, experience, and confidence to master their future! Items funded through The Siouxland Big Give include:
-tools such as hammers, drills, levels, handtools, etc.
-materials and supplies including bits, nails, screws, concrete, wood, and more
-safety equipment such as helmets, gloves, ear and eye protection, et al.
