We are thrilled to announce that after years of applying, Haus of Qui has been granted the rights to produce Hairspray the Musical in July of 2025! This beloved musical, set in the vibrant 1960s, celebrates diversity, self-expression, and the joy of dance. As we prepare to bring this energetic show to the stage, we need your help to ensure every detail is perfect – including our character-defining wigs!
Why Wigs Matter:
In Hairspray, the hairstyles are more than just accessories – they’re a vital part of the characters' identities and the show’s authentic 60s vibe. From Tracy Turnblad’s iconic bouffant to Edna Turnblad’s fabulous curls, each wig plays a crucial role in bringing the world of the show to life. To achieve this, we need high-quality wigs that will make our characters shine and enhance the overall experience for our audience.
How You Can Help:
We are raising funds to cover the cost of purchasing and maintaining the nearly 50 wigs essential to the show. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to our goal. Your support will directly impact the success of our production and ensure that we can present Hairspray the Musical with the highest level of authenticity and creativity.

A Home for Haus of Qui
Project Details
Haus of Qui still doesn't have a place to call home. Nonetheless, we have been bringing our shows to whatever venues have been available to us. Just last month we did the first ever drag variety show at The Orpheum Theater, and we offered it to the community for free!
In order for us to truly grow, we need a place to lay down some roots. Please donate what you can and share the fundraiser information to all your social media. We'll see you on the stage!

Haus of Qui wants to establish a permanent venue so a stage is readily available for anyone with the passion to perform. Our creative team is made of up experienced artists of all ages, ethnicities, and gender/sexual identities, and we embrace this diversity in our entertainment offerings. There is no cost to participate in any class or show offered at Haus of Qui.
