This Year's Project: Bring Back the Bus!

About Our Organization

Who We Are

The Native American Child Care Center began over 40 years ago as a cooperative effort between leaders of the Native American community and local United Methodists. Most of that time it has been at its current location, Grace United Methodist Church, 1735 Morningside Ave. The center is licensed by the State of Iowa and is a United Way agency.

NACCC exists to provide child care services, an early childhood education, and development program primarily for all children 2-5 years of age. NACCC promotes and fosters the physical, emotional, social, cultural and intellectual development of children to help them realize their full potential.

Current Project: Bring Back the Bus!

At the end of the 2019 school year NACCC lost funding for provide a transportation option to families with barriers to transportation. NACCC is looking to reestablish this service to our families. Transportation is a key factor to families being able to access our preschool. NACCC has noticed since the transportation option ended, our low income families located outside the 51106 area code simply are not able to access our center and take advantage of our low tuition rates and scholarships to help their children achieve preschool.
