About Our Organization
The Sioux City Public Museum serves the citizens of the tri-state area and our guests. We are a premier historical museum in the Midwest and feature exciting exhibits, a varied range of temporary shows and an amazing schedule of programs, classes, workshops and other special events. The Museum Association is the friends group for the Museum and raises money for education and exhibit activities.
Join us in bringing the prehistoric world to life for young minds! Our project aims to expand our museum’s Big Dig Exhibit, creating an even more immersive and educational experience designed for children. With your support, we would like to expand our current exhibit to include interactive displays, more hands-on activities, and engaging educational programs that will ignite curiosity and foster a love of science and history. Help us make this exciting expansion possible and give children the chance to explore, discover, and learn about these magnificent creatures in a fun and memorable way.

Showcasing the diversity of Siouxland through sports. The sports exhibit will be our first significant improvement to our permanent galley since the opening of the downtown site 11 years ago. The exhibit will focus on sports history and examine the importance of sports in the area and how sports reflect the range of diversity in our community.
