About Our Organization
Established in 1988, the Siouxland Community Foundation is a trusted organization that connects people who care with causes that matter by providing a means to receive gifts and distribute grants in response to community needs. The Siouxland Community Foundation is proud to be the administrator of the Siouxland Big Give for a FOURTH year!!
Current Project: Supporting Administration of Siouxland Big Give Fundraiser
Started in 2018 as part of the Siouxland Community Foundation's 30th anniversary, the Siouxland Big Give is now in its 7th year. This 24-hour online giving event supports 100 unique non-profits in the Siouxland area. Traditional fundraising events can be costly and demand significant staff and volunteer time. Through a collaborative approach, nonprofits share a unified message across the region and use a joint website platform to raise awareness about their funding needs for both projects and ongoing services.
This event costs the Siouxland Community Foundation over $10,000 each year, covering staff time, training luncheons for nonprofits, website and software expenses, and marketing efforts. While much of the marketing is gifted in-kind by generous sponsors, we still need your help to ensure this impactful event continues.
By participating, Siouxlanders who are passionate about their community can easily and safely become philanthropists. Funds raised by the Siouxland Community Foundation help offset the costs of hosting the Siouxland Big Give, supporting 100 charitable projects annually.
