This Year's Project: Defibrillator
About Our Organization
Trivium is a non-profit organization committed to behavioral health, mental health, and long term support services. We serve those who are seeking help but haven’t had their needs met.
Previously known as Crossroads of Western Iowa, Trivium has a long history of empowering those with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, chronic mental illness, and brain injures towards independence. Our services help clients reach their full potential at home, at work and in their communities.
Our mission is simple: Creating Hope. Empowering Lives. Inspiring Communities. We achieve this mission by serving those who are looking for help but haven’t yet had their needs met.
Current Project: Defibrillator
Hello Donors! At Trivium Life Services, safety is our priortiy! While serving individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, chronic mental illness, and brain injures, we strive to ensure that our clients are in a safe environment. While we don't anticipate any cardiac emergencies, an AED defibrillator will ensure that we are ready, should such an emergecy ever occur. Thank you for considering donating to Trivium and helping us reach our goal of getting a defibrillator.
In order to enable our clients to practice social distancing and self-isolate as needed in Crossroads-supported homes, we have developed an enhanced day programming model. Your gift, whatever the size, will support our clients living with disabilities and/or traumatic brain injuries as they participate in community integration opportunities that will keep them safe and healthy at this unusual time.
Many of our clients participate in virtual interactions with community volunteers as part of our Across the Road program. For example, a client who loves the Harry Potter series is able to virtually connect with a volunteer with a similar love for the books. Together, they read at a selected time each week. Other interactions include virtual cooking classes, screen-to-screen time with the newest additions to the Humane Society, and a virtual fire station tour and Q&A with firefighters.
You can help further our mission to enhance the lives of those we serve by making a gift today.
